DECT (Digital European Cordless Telecommunications) is a wireless standard that allows wireless audio devices to connect to a desk phone or softphone via a base station or dongle. This standard is widely used in most countries because it works in the 1.9 GHz band and does not interfere with other wireless technologies, such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. 

The DECT headset is a wireless solution for users who need to move around their workplace or desk to make calls. And it is as clear as a wired headset, and its wireless range is typically 50 meters.

The Essential DECT Wireless Headsets (WH62 & WH63), and the Premium DECT Wireless Headsets (WH66 & WH67) are new-generation headsets, that combine a highly compact design with a rich voice communication performance. 

DECT wireless headset system needs to pair with a specific base station or dongle. These, in turn, are connected to devices such as landlines and softphones and, depending on the product, can accommodate multiple phones simultaneously. As DECT headsets rely on the base station or dongle, they mainly use in traditional office environments and contact centers.

The DECT office headset is the obvious choice for those who work in a fixed location and rely on a single desk phone or softphone. DECT is very secure, the long-range allows you to move around the office while staying connected, and the call quality is often higher and more consistent.

Product looks and feels amazing. Integration with my cell phone and Teams is seamless and the speakerphone is very nice, like Microsoft Teams headset. People say it is quiet, but I never experienced any issues with the volume on calls. Additionally, the base of the device can function as a speaker for your computer when the headset is docked, that is nice for the notifications that I do have.

Best feature is to raise the boom microphone to mute. Its a great feature and very helpful in long conference calls. Very happy with the purchase at a fraction of the cost of the more "name" brands.

First, let me say that as a best Microsoft Teams headset this thing is great. The integration is really nice and you have multiple options for control: on your computer, on the headset base’s touch screen, and on the headset itself.

You can mute/unmute yourself on the computer in the Teams app, the base’s touch screen, and two different ways on the headset: 1) a dedication mute button and 2) by flipping the mic boom up or down. Each time you mute or unmute, whatever way you do it, a voice says “mute” or “unmute” over your headset so that you’re aware, which is nice if you move the mic boom without thinking about it. The voice does become a little tedious to hear many times during a call if you have to mute/unmute often, but it’s fine usually.
