Description:

401 Unauthorized

Description:

Calling failed because the server reject with error 401 Unauthorized, the authentication between server and IP Phone is failed.

Solution:

To solve this 401 error, Please follow with below suggestions:

1. Please check if the username and password are correct;

2. If the password is correct, please provisioning the IP Phone with the parameter:

sip.basic_auth.enable=1

3. if it can't solve the issue, please kindly get PCAP file from any other working phone to us, so that we can do comparison, thanks.

403 Forbidden

Description:

Calling failed because the server reject with error 403 Forbidden, the server doesn't allow to make outgoing call.

Solution:

Seems it's more relevant with server issue.

1. Please kindly check why the server forbid the account to call out.

2. If you have any other phone can work well, please export PCAP file to us for comparison, thanks.

404 Not Found

Description:

Calling failed because the server reject with error 404 Not Found, the called number is not exist at the server.

Solution:

Regarding this 404 error, please kindly check if this called number is valid or not. Please check from server side.

If other phone can call to this number, please kindly get PCAP file from the working phone to us, we can further analysis, thanks.

405 Method No Allowed

Description:

Calling failed because the server reject with error 405 Method No Allowed, The header specified in the Request Line is not allowed by the server.

Solution:

Seems it's more relevant with a compatibility issue. If you have any other phone can work well, please export PCAP file to us for comparison, thanks.

406 Not Acceptable

Description:

Calling failed because the server reject with error 406 Not Acceptable, SDP negotiation failed between the phone and server.

Solution:

407 Proxy Authentication Required

Description:

Calling failed because the server reject with error 407 Proxy Authentication Required, the authentication between server and IP Phone is failed.

Solution:

To solve this 407 error, Please follow with below suggestions:

1. Please provisioning the IP Phone with the parameter:

sip.basic_auth.enable=1

2. if it can't solve the issue, please kindly get PCAP file from any other working phone to us, so that we can do further analysis, thanks.

408 Request Timeout

Description:

Calling failed because the server reject with error 408 Request Timeout. No response from the server causes the request timeout.

Solution:

Seems it's more relevant with server/network issue.

1. Please kindly check if the server is working fine;

2. If yes, please check the network connection between IP Phone and server, to make sure the INVITE packet can be received by server

413 Request Entity Too Large

Description:

Calling failed because the server reject with error 413 Request Entity Too Large, The SIP message sent by phone is too large to be rejected by the server.

Solution:

Seems it's more relevant with a compatibility issue. The SIP singal packet sent by IP Phone is large, which exceed the size limits of the server.

1. You could disable some unused codec from IP Phone side;

2. Please change the size limits from server.

415 Unsupported Media Type

Description:

Calling failed because the server reject with error 415 Unsupported Media Type, The server does not support the media type in the SIP message sent by IP Phone.

Solution:

420 Bad extension

Description:

Calling failed because the server reject with error 420 Bad extension, The server cannot understand the header in the SIP message sent by IP Phone.

Solution:

423 Interval Too Brief

Description:

Calling failed because the server reject with error 423 Interval Too Brief, The server reject the request because the expiration time is too short in the SIP message sent by IP Phone.

Solution:

The expire time is too low, please change to a higher value, like 1800.

480 Temporarily Unavailable

Description:

Calling failed because the server reject with error 480 Temporarily Unavailable, The callee is unavailable.

Solution:

1. Please check if the called side is in DND mode;

2. If you are using Yealink video phone (T58/VP59) to make outgoing call, please disable video function and check again;

3. if it can't solve the issue, please kindly get PCAP file from any other working phone to us, so that we can do further analysis, thanks.

481 Call/transaction Does Not Exist

Description:

Calling failed because the server reject with error 481 Call/transaction Does Not Exist, The server received a request that does not match any dialogue or transaction.

Solution:

Regarding this error code, please kindly check from server why it reply 481 error. If other phone can call to this number, please kindly get PCAP file from the working phone to us, we can further analysis, thanks.

482 Loop Detected

Description:

Calling failed because the server reject with error 482 Loop Detected.

Solution:

1. Please provision the IP Phone with below parameter:

sip.req_match_line_precedence=1

2. If it can't solve the issue, please kindly get PCAP file from any other working phone to us, so that we can do further analysis, thanks.

484 The calling number is not complete

Description:

Calling failed because the server reject with error 484, which means the calling number is not complete.

Solution:

Please make sure to add country code before the number.

486 Busy Here

Description:

Calling failed because the server reject with error 486 Busy Here, the callee is busy now.

Solution:

1. Please check if the called side is in DND mode,or maybe you could call later

2. If the called side can't be reach always, please check from server side why it’s always in busy.

487 Request Terminated

Description:

Calling failed because the server reject with error 487 Request Terminated, the calling request has been terminated by bye or cancel.

Solution:

Seems it's more relevant with server/network issue.

1. Please kindly check if the server is working fine;

2. If yes, please check the network connection between IP Phone and server, to make sure the INVITE packet can be received by server

488 Not Acceptable Here

Description:

Calling failed because the server reject with error 488 Not Acceptable Here, SDP negotiation failed between the phone and server.

Solution:

SDP negotiation cause the problem.

1. Please make sure the called and callee should use the same codec, like G722

2. If remote side enable SRTP, then please enable SRTP in IP Phone side. You could go to phone web portal, then go to Account-> Advanced-> RTP Encryption (SRTP), then set to optional;

3. If it can't solve the issue, please kindly get PCAP file from any other working phone to us, so that we can do further analysis, thanks.

489 Bad Event

Description:

Calling failed because the server reject with error 489 Bad Event, The server cannot understand the header in the SIP message sent by IP Phone.

Solution:

Seems it's more relevant with a compatibility issue. If you have any other phone can work well, please export PCAP file to us for comparison, thanks.

500 Server internal error

Description:

Calling failed because the server reject with error 500 Server internal error.

Solution:

Seems it's more relevant with server issue. Please kindly check from server side.

502 Bad Gateway

Description:

Calling failed because the server reject with error 502 Bad Gateway.

Solution:

Seems it's more relevant with server issue. Please kindly check from server side.

503 Service Unavailable

Description:

Calling failed because the server reject with error 503 Service Unavailable.

Solution:

Seems it's more relevant with server issue. Please kindly check from server side.

603 Decline

Description:

Calling failed because the server reject with error 603 Decline.

Solution:

Seems it's more relevant with server issue. Please kindly check from server side.

Call received invite with same cseq

Description:

Calling failed because the server send several INVITE packet with same Cseq.

Solution:

Regarding this problem, please kindly check from server side why it send several INVITE packet, which cause phone to reply 482 error.

Or you could provision IP Phone with below parameter:

account.1.check_cseq.enable=0

Call received invite with different cseq

Description:

Calling failed because the server send several INVITE packet with same Cseq.

Solution:

Regarding this problem, please kindly check from server side why it send several INVITE packet, which cause phone to reply 482 error.

Or you could provision IP Phone with below parameter:

account.1.check_cseq.enable=0

Call received invite with lower cseq

Description:

Calling failed because the server send several INVITE packet with chaotic Cseq.

Solution:

Regarding this problem, please kindly check from server side why it send several INVITE packet, which cause phone to reply 482 error.

Or you could provision IP Phone with below parameter:

account.1.check_cseq.enable=0

Callee is invalid

Description:

Calling failed because the callee address is incorrect.

Solution:

1. Please kindly check if the callee address is correct;

Call check remote sdp fail

Description:

Calling failed because SDP negotiation failed between the phone and server.

Solution:

SDP negotiation cause the problem.

1. Please make sure the called and callee should use the same codec, like G722
