Local Phone Book Information

A local phone book is stored directly on the IP phone’s flash memory and can only be accessed on that specific phone. This is different from a remote phone book, which is stored on a server and can be accessed by multiple users.

How to Save Remote Phone Book Contacts to Local Directory

You can save contacts from a remote phone book to your local directory for easier access when the remote phone book is not available. Here are the steps for different phone models:

For T3X/T4X/T53X/T54W/T57W Phones:

1. Go to Menu > Directory > Remote Phone Book.

2. Select the desired remote phone book.

3. Select the desired contact, then select Option > Add to Contacts.

4. Edit the corresponding fields.

5. Select Save.

For T48U/T48S/T48G/T57W Phones:

1. Tap Directory > Remote Phone Book.

2. Select the desired remote phone book.

3. Select the desired contact, then select  > Add.

4. Edit the corresponding fields.

5. Select Save.

For VP59/T58A/T58W Phones:

1. Go to  > Remote Phone Book.

2. Select the desired remote phone book.

3. Tap  beside the desired contact.

4. Select Add.

5. Select Local Directory from the Group field.

6. Select  or OK.

For CP925/CP935W Phones:

1. Go to  > Local Directory > Remote Phone Book.

2. Select the desired remote phone book.

3. Tap the desired contact and select .

4. Select Add.

5. Select Local Directory from the Group field.

6. Select .
